Project - Armenian Cuisine

During the development of this project, pupils will gather information about the traditional cooking of their region. By doing this, pupils will discover their traditions, the cooking customs of past generations and the traditions of their partners by exchanging information with them. They will be able to relate cooking with local history, examining the social conditions of the past as well as with economic and technological evolution.

Objectives

During this project pupils will learn how to collect, compare and classify information, to share their knowledge with the others, to communicate, to create digital resources and use ICT tools.

Pupils will:
• Learn to evaluate the evolution of the cooking customs through ages, since they will compare the cooking customs of previous generations with the contemporary ones.
• Discover the relation between cooking, ways of living and social development.
• Take advantage of the knowledge gained from other subjects, such as history, geography, religion, home economics etc.
• Learn how to search based on a specific methodology on trusted sites and resources.
• Develop technological skills by discovering the possibilities of the web 2.0 (by making wikis, blogs)
• Have the chance to use multimedia tools in order to present pictures or create on line games and educational activities.
